The BMW Collection: You can take the German out of Germany, but you can't
take his BMWs!
Jörg with his BMW R90s.

The BMW R90S is a sport motorcycle that was produced by BMW
between 1973 and 1976. The R90S is considered by many to be one
of the first superbikes, and the first such motorcycle from BMW. The
first United States AMA Superbike Championship was won in 1976 by
British rider Reg Pridmore on a R90S.
A BMW R100 GS modified
in Germany that also
made the trip over here...

"1990 R100 GS : The
Paris-Dakar model got
heated grips, the solo
seat and extended rack,
9.5 gallon tank, bash
plates, chin spoiler, and
the frame-mounted
instrument pod (speedo,
tach, and clock) and
fairing. Starting in '92
this was known as the
PD."

But Joerg also made a
few more improvements.
What it first looked

awollja!!
"Im neuen Jahr ging das Gerät dann
unter den Hammer. Mit ein bißchen
Gewinn kam die Anzahlung für das
erste richtige Motorrad ins Haus!!!
Eine 90/S - jawollja - gutes deutsches
Eisen, mit Daytona History und
sowieso der Traum eines jeden
Gummikuhtreibers. Davon gabs ja
genug - diese hoffnungslosen,
vernunftsmäßigen, verkalkten
Schmalspur-Kleingärtner. Nix da,
Power muß her. Keine Reikocher
mehr. Nix aus dem fernen Osten kann
einen deutschen Erdkampfbomber in
den Kurven abledern! Mann, haben
die Zwibacksägen in den Kurven das
Grausen gekriegt. Die Sturzbügel
haben gefunkt, aber die Ventildecke
haben gehalten. Die gute alte Kuh hat
ihrem Namen als bayrischem
Erdverdichter alle Ehre gemacht."

The Beginning.
The company began as an aircraft engine manufacturer in the early 20th century and through World
War I. BMW manufactured its first motorcycle in 1923, the R32, which featured flat-twin boxer engine.
BMW Motorrad still uses the flat-twin boxer configuration, but now manufactures motorcycles with a
variety of engine configurations.
After a difficult delivery, the
new baby is here.

A 2000, BMW R1100S.
Bill's Bike!!
Bill Mantle took a spill, so Joerg got his skuffed up
BMW. Bill's fine, and the bike is going to be awsome!!
<--The way it was...
